.. include:: abbreviations.txt Models available in PCSE ======================== The PCSE package implements several crop models that were developed in Wageningen. These models are: - The WOFOST cropping system model for simulating growth and development of arable crops. - The LINTUL3 model for simulating growth and development of arable crops. Compared to WOFOST, LINTUL3 uses a simplified approach for estimating |CO2| assimilation. - The LINGRA model for simulating grassland productivity. - The ALCEPAS model specifically developed for simulation of onion. PCSE also provides an implementation of the FAO-WRSI (Water Requirement Satisfaction Index) model which computes stress index representing the water shortage experience by the crop Moreover, these crop models can be combined with models for soil water and nitrogen of different complexity, ranging from simple models (indicated as "classic") as well as a more advanced water balance models using multiple soil layers and an advanced soil carbon/nitrogen model (SNOMIN). The following table lists the models that are available in PCSE and can be imported from `pcse.models` package.
